I was chatting with the tech support guy from belkin and i seemed to go nowhere. He said i needed to connect the ethernet to from the modem to the router then plug another one into my laptop then run the setup disc.

Belkin router won t connect to modem. 1 restart your devices. Unplug the power cable from your modem and from your router. He siad he didnt think the hardware is the problem.
