Hello i just recently got a new hunter signal ceiling fan which is one of the first homekit enabled fans. Sounds like a homekit issue when not using a hub on and phone is on wifi.

Homekit no accessories responding. Set up was so simple. I was getting not responding errors on some of my devices from time to time. Each time the setup works and the fan is controllable for about 1 5 minutes each time. I bought it because of bad connections in areas of my condo. After a reboot homebridge will once again work for about an hour. All accessories show up as not responding.
Any help would be appreciated. Most homekit accessories communicate using either wi fi or bluetooth. Its an excellent simple smartstat but it doesnt stay connected to homekit for more than 20min. I have gone through the setup on my iphone 7 plus for the fan about 20 times. However issues can arise causing your devices to become unresponsive to siri commands and will show no response in the home app suddenly making your home not so smart. I bought an eero earlier this month amazon had a sale for 100 off.
There are reports where the igmp settings in a router were causing issues with homekit. Homekit accessories not responding in home but do work outside. If these arent enabled on your device you wont be able to interact with your homekit lamps and smart plugs. Homebridge will run just fine but after a while say an hour or so homebridge and accessories stop responding in homekit. The mac is still running the same ip and port configuration. Ive tried resetting everything dozens of times from the tstat to homekit.
This resulted in a situation where all of the home assistant homekit accessories stopped responding a few minutes after home assistant restarted. So working ouside the house is not working. Accessories are all listed as not responding. The tstat works flawlessly with the sensi app but no response in homekit. Steps to reproduce for bugs after performing a software upgrade to any component in a system my mac running homebridge the appletv or the ios app all accessories are unresponsive from the home app. Even reconfigured my router all to emerson recommendations.
Mostly my honeywell thermostat. Im sitting here right now and its working with this config. Homekit accessories enable some pretty awesome conveniences such as turning on and off lights and locking and unlocking doors all from the comforts of your couch. Also when i turn off wifi and try to access the devices with the hub active and on the devices are also unavailable. I didnt buy it for the purpose of fixing homekit. But i still get no response from the devices.
