T56 magnum is rated at around 700ftlbs and has been proven behind v8s which put out lots of torque. Tremecs aftermarket upgrade for the t56 the magnum essentially a tr6060 is about 15 inch longer than an f body. The original t 56 transmission has been superseded by the current t 56 magnum that offers all the original t 56 features plus the 700 ftlb torque rating. All input shafts on the magnums are 26 spline. The most notable difference between the input shaft used in the t 56 and the tr 6060 and magnum is the bearing hardware which is much larger in the tr 6060 and magnum. Compared to the torque curve of a 2jz with a big single turbo i would assume the t56 magnum would handle it quite well.
