Tachometer reading too low. Low tachometer reading my tach is reading low by about 2000 rpm at upper end and 200 low at idle. Dec 3 2009. Two things to note. The cathode end silver band should be nearest the tachometer side not the coil sideyou should be able to buy a diode 1n4005 at radio shack or other electronic supply store. If so connect the gray wire you removed previously to that yellowgray terminal. Fuel gauge not reading either although when tested with a 9v battery it does function.
