The uppers are pressed in and can only be replaced by changing the whole arm. Id wipe them off and check every couple days.

Grease coming out of ball joint boot. If the ball joint is capable of being greased use only the grease that is recommended for the job. I was hoping i could just get a replacement boot but that is not the case. If grease is coming out and they are still flat then it is bad. Or at least lst time i did it it was that way on my 2000 the lowers are a pain in the ass. Some ball joints come lubricated for life and are therefore incapable of being greased the paradox though is that they dont usually live very long. There could be a little excess around the ball and spring but still plenty of lube where you need it.

First look to see that the rubber boots holding the grease inside the ball joint are in good shape. Now you want to clean off the zerk to avoid any contaminates following the grease inside. That will test for the ball joint. First you should inspect the dust boot for leaks. I was going to go and give the zerk fittings a few shots of grease per side but i keep finding conflicting information on just how much grease to put in.
